MAYOR DWYER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 5:33PM FOLLOWED BY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEIGANCE.
CLERK CALLED ROLL-EVERYONE PRESENT 1 ABSENT TRUSTEE HOWLEY.
MAYOR DWYER CALLED MEETING TO ORDER. IT IS THE MONDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS SO WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A EXPIDTED MEETING FOR THINGS THAT WE NEED TO ACCOMPLISH BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR. WE HAD TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS ONE ON AMMENDING VILLAGE CODE FOR FISHING FOR VILLAGE RESIDENTS AND ANOTHER ON THE FRANCISHE AGREEMENT ON OUR INTERNET AND TV PROVIDER ALTICE/CABLEVISION. WE HAVE TWO LETTERS OF CORRESPONDENCE ONE FROM ALTICE REGARDING NBC UNIVERSAL SPORTS NETWORK CHANNEL WILL NO LONGER BE ON CABLE TV. THE OTHER LETTER THAT WE RECEIVED IS FROM A RESIDENT WHO OWNS PROPERTY NEXT TO OUR OLD PUMP STATION ON EDGEMERE AVE ASKING IF WE WOULD CONSIDER SELLING THIS PIECE OF PROPERTY AND RIGHT NOW THE VILLAGE BOARD IS RESEARCHING WHETHER WE SHOULD CONSIDER SELLING THIS PIECE OF PROPERTY SINCE IT HAS ACCESS TO TAKING WATER DIRECTLY FROM THE LAKE NOT THE METHOD THAT WE USE IN ORDER TO PROVIDFE DRINKING WATER TO THE COMMUNITY BUT WE DON’T WANT TO GIVE UP THE IDEA POSSIBLE DOING THAT IN THE FUTURE. SO THAT IS SOMETHING THAT IS BEING RESEARCHED AND DEVELOPED. WE WILL GO RIGHT INTO OUR REPORTS FROM BOARDS AND DEPARTMENT HEADS BEGINNING WITH CHIEF ADAM EIRAND.
CHIEF EIRAND REPORTED FOR NOVEMBER 2021 THE GREENWOOD LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT HANDLED 1533 COMPLAINTS, 96 CITATIONS, 12 OF WHICH WERE VILLAGE CODE, 4 MVA. I ALSO WANTED TO REPORT THAT CLERK OLSEN HELPED ME OUT LAST WEEK AND WITH THE REPORTS ON FUEL USAGE FROM 2019 TO 2021 SO WE HAVE THE REPORTS ON THE HYBRYD CARS. WE SAVED APPROXIMATELY 2300 GALLONS FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
MAYOR DWYER SAID WOW-WHAT IS OUR AVERAGE COST?
CHIEF EIRAND NOTED THAT THE PRICES ARE HIGH AND IT COST US MORE BUT WE ARE SAVING ON GALLONS.
MAYOR DWYER SAID THAT IT GREAT WE SAVED 2300 GALLONS OF FUEL. GREAT WORK ON THAT BECAUSE THAT IS WHY WE WENT AHEAD WITH BUYING THE HYBRYD CARS. THEY COST MORE BUT THE END RESULT IS THE DIVIDEND. GREAT JOB ON THAT.
MAYOR DWYER ADDRESSED PHIL LANDRU AND STATED GOOD LUCK PHIL HOW MUCH WATER HAVE WE SAVED WITH A LAUGH.
PHIL LANDRU NOTED THAT I DON’T HAVE A REPORT TONIGHT WE ARE WORKING ON GETTING ALL THE WATER SAMPLE BOTTLES OUT AND FILLED FOR THE LEAD AND COPPER SAMPLE.
MAYOR DWYER NOTED THAT PHIL AND I WORK DAILY ON ALL THE NECESSARY WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AT THE WATER PLANT AND TRUST ME JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN’T HAVE A REPORT HE IS HUSTLING 24/7.
MAYOR DWYER NOTED THAT WE ARE FORGOING BOARD MEMBER REPORTS TONIGHT UNLESS ANYONE HAS ANYTHING TO ADD.
ATTORNEY BUCKHEIT NOTED THAT HE ATTENDED ON BEHALF OF THE MAYOR THE VFW’S GRAND OPENING OF THE RESOURCES OF VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS HELP THE COMMUNITY. SPREAD THE WORD AS MUCH AS WE CAN FOR VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS.
