PRIIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR.
CAROLINE ADAMS – I LIVE OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE BUT I AM INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY GARDEN. THIS COMING YEAR, WE HOPE TO DO SOME RENOVATIONS, INCLUDING FIXING THE FENCE AND SOME OF THE BOARDS IN THE RAISED BEDS. FROM WHAT I HAD BEEN TOLD IN THE PAST WAS OUR FEES WENT TO THE VILLAGE BUT WERE BEING HELD FOR OUR USE TO DRAW THE MONEY FOR REPAIRS. WHEN I WENT TO THE CLERK AND PUT IN SOME EXPENSES, THE NECESSARY AMOUNT WASN’T THERE. IF IT GOES OVER THE VILLAGE BUDGET, WHICH I UNDERSTAND IS $200, EVEN THOUGH WE BROUGHT IN $350.00.
MAYOR DWYER – HAVE YOU BEEN KEEPING TRACK OF OVERAGES.
I HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS.
MAYOR DWYER – OF COURSE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO DO SOMETHING MINOR WE WILL CERTAINLY HELP OUT. IF YOU CAN GET US THOSE FIGURES WE CAN MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THAT MONEY TO SPEND.
MAYOR DWYER – PAT OLSEN I COULD LOOK IT UP.
MAYOR DWYER – WHAT IS THE ATTENDANCE THERE? HOW MANY BEDS ARE BEING USED?
CAROLINE ADAMS – 14 BEDS THIS YEAR OUT OF 18. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT THAT IF THERE ARE UNUSED BEDS, WE CAN PLANT VEGETABLES AND THEN GIVE THEM TO THE SENIORS, FOOD PANTRY, ETC.
MAYOR DWYER – WHAT WORK DID YOU WANT TO GET DONE THIS YEAR?
CAROLINE ADAMS – WE WANT TO REBUILD SOME OF THE BEDS WHICH ARE ROTTING OUT. THE FENCE IS ROTTING OUT AS WELL. WOULD WE NEED A PERMIT TO DO THIS WORK?
VILLAGE CLERK PAT OLSEN – DID YOU ALREADY CLEAN OUT THE OLD BINS.
CHAD SELLIER – HOW DO YOU BECOME A MEMBER?
CAROLINE ADAMS – NO WE HAVEN’T. THERE IS A SIGN UP PERIOD AND YOU CAN COME TO VILLAGE HALL AND PAY $25.00 FOR A BED, AND YOU ALSO NEED TO VOLUNTEER A LITTLE TIME FOR THE COMMON AREA.
PAT OLSEN – THE CURRENT MEMBERS GET FIRST SHOT AND THEN WE OPEN IT TO THE PUBLIC. WE SEND THE NEW MEMBERS EMAILS TO CAROLYN SO SHE WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM.
