LAKE MANAGEMENT – MAYOR DWYER STATED THE LAKE IS CURRENTLY DRAWN DOWN BETWEEN 2 ½ AND 3 FEET. APPLICATIONS ARE COMING IN TO VILLAGE HALL ALMOST DAILY. YOU NEED A DEC PERMIT AND A VILLAGE PERMIT TO DO ANY BULK HEAD REPAIR, OR SEDIMENT REMOVAL. OUR PERMIT IS FREE AS WELL AS THE DEC PERMIT.

Chewing gum is also one of the most cost cialis viagra sought after anti-impotency medicines today. NEW BUSINESS
ALTICE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT – MAYOR DWYER STATED THIS IS THE AGREEMENT WITH CABLEVISION TO PROVIDE CABLE AND ONLINE SERVICES. UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE NO COMPETITION IN GREENWOOD LAKE AND THIS IS OUR ONLY SERVICE PROVIDER. THEY ARE VERY AMENABLE TO SERVICING THE COMMUNITY. THEY HAVE MADE UPGRADES TO OUR INFRASTRUCTURE OVER THE YEARS. THEY THINK WITHIN A YEAR THE VILLAGE HOMES WILL ALL HAVE FIBER OPTIC CABLE WHICH WILL INCREASE INTERNET SPEED. THEY ARE WILLNG TO BUY US A NEW CAMERA AND MICROPHONES TO RECORD OUR MEETINGS. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A PUBLIC HEARING AT OUR NEXT BOARD MEETING, DECEMBER 20TH SO THAT PUBLIC CAN COME IN AND MAKE ANY COMMENTS.
FEMA EMERGENCY FUNDING – MAYOR DWYER STATED THE STORM SEPT1-3 THE VILLAGE GOT APPROXIMATELY 11 INCHES OF RAIN. IT WASHED OUT OUR WOOD CHIPS AND WE SPEND FOUR OR FIVE DAYS CLEANING UP. IT WASHED OUT THE VISTA TRAIL WHICH IS STILL UNSAFE. THIS FUNDING WILL HELP US FIX THAT UP AND HELP PAY FOR ALL OF THE EXTRA WORK.
ICE FISHING REGULATIONS – WE HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING THIS FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WE ARE A LAKE COMMUNITY AND RELY ON TOURISM, BUT OUR RESIDENTS AND TAXPAYERS SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF FIRST. AT THE THOMAS P MORAHAN WATERFRONT PARK THERE ARE A LOT OF ICE FISHERMAN THAT COME IN AND LEAVE A LOT OF TRASH, AND PUSH OUT OTHER PEOPLE FROM THE VILLAGE AND WE HAVE TO PRIORITIZE LOCAL RESIDENTS. WE DISCUSSED PASSING A LAW THAT MAKES IT IF YOU ARE A TOWN OF WARWICK RESIDENT YOU CAN FISH OR ICE FISH AT ANY OF OUR PUBLIC ACCESS POINTS WITHOUT A PERMIT. IF YOU ARE NOT, YOU MUST PAY FOR A DAILY PASS WHICH WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. WE HAVE TRIED TO DO THIS WITHOUT ANY REAL ENFORCEMENT POWER AND IT DIDN’T GO WELL. RESIDENT MIGDALLIA MILANO FROM MURRAY ROAD STATED SHE MOVED TO GREENWOOD LAKE ONE YEAR AGO AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE BEST DECISION WE COULD MAKE. WE WERE GETTING DAILY VISIT FROM NEIGHBORHOOD CATS AND WHILE IN HOBOKEN WE KEPT OUR CAT HOLED UP IN OUR APARTMENT WAY TOO LONG. SO, I PURCHASED A COLLAR AND NAMEPLATE AND STARTED LETTING MY CAT OUT. MOST OF THE TIME HE WOULD STAY ON OUR PORTCH OR CLOSE BY. A FEW WEEKS AGO, HE CAME HOME WITH A LIMP AND A CIRCULAR SCAR ON HIS SIDE. WE KEPT HIM IN FOR A FEW DAYS BUT IT GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AND HE HAD TO BE RUSHSED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IN SEVERE PAIN. XRAYS REVEALED A FRACTURED FEMUR AND A PELLET FROM A BB GUN OR AN AIR GUN NEXT TO IT. I WAS IN DISBELIEF AS WAS MY WIFE. I HAD TO MAKE A QUICK DECISION TO EITHER AMPUTATE, EUTHANIZE OR SURGERY. I WAS VERY UPSET THAT SOMEONE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD DID THIS. AFTER A BIT OF RESEARCH, I LEARNED THAT BB GUNS AND AIR GUNS ARE LEGAL IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK BUT I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT MAKES IT OK TO SHOOT PEOPLES PETS. I ALSO DON’T KNOW WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT TO DO THIS. I WENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND RECEIVED 100S OF COMMENTS. SOME OF MY OTHER NEIGHBORS HAVE ALSO HAD THEIR CATS SHOT. A NEIGHBOR SAID SOMEONE THAT LIVES BEHIND THEM REGULARLY SHOOTS AT SQUIRRELS. SOMEONE ELSE FOUND PELLETS IN THEIR SIDING. THIS PERSON HAS ALSO BEEN SEEN SHOOTING GROUNDHOGS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO STOP THIS. OUR LIFE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ALTERED AND CREATED A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR US. MY CAT IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL AND HAS A 10-12 WEEK RECOVERY IF HE SURVIVES. WE JUST WANT TO URGE THAT YOU TAKE THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY.
MAYOR DWYER STATED THANK YOU FOR COMING AND SHARING YOUR STORY. IT IS GUT WRENCHING TO HEAR. SHOOTING SQUIRRELS WITH A PELLET GUN OR BB GUN OR ANY ANIMAL IS ILLEGAL. I THINK YOU NEED TO MEET WITH THE CHIEF. AT MINIMUM SOME EDUCATION ABOUT HARASSING WILDLIFE IS ILLEGAL. I AM SORRY TO HEAR THIS AND HOPE YOUR CAT PULLS THROUGH. WE WILL WORK WITH YOU. I’M GLAD YOU SHARED THIS. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
